If the Splendour in the Grass festival is too far away for you then this week you're in luck - the festival is coming to you. There are sideshows all over town featuring many of the headlining acts - The Strokes, Laura Marling, Goldfrapp, Mumford and Sons..., but tickets are selling out so be quick.
Sydney Theatre Company's Long Day's Journey Into Night come to a close at Sydney Theatre, Tango Inferno starts next Wednesday at State Theatre, and Opera Australia's The Marriage Of Figaro continues at the Opera House.
The Sydney International Boat Show opens on Thursday at Darling Harbour, taking over pretty much all of the water-frontage and a lot of exhibition space as well. It's the perfect time to be picking out the boat you're going to buy once the Global Economic Crisis is behind us...
In other events, The Festival of Football continues this week at the Football Stadium, the Da Vinci Secrets exhibition at Town Hall is coming to a close, and Winterland continues at Carriageworks.
Finally a heads-up - tickets for Tim Minchin Vs The Sydney Symphony at the Opera House go on sale to the general public at 9am Monday 2nd August.
Have fun out there...
