Tiwi Footy is a photographic exhibition that brings together a series of 40 documentary-style colour and black and white images that explore the integral role of AFL football in Tiwi culture. Tiwi Islands, 80km north of Darwin, are home to the Tiwi people whose passion for Aussie Rules football is a positive influence on life in the community. About 900 of the 2600 people who live on the islands play AFL, which is said to be the country's highest participation rate.
